Protecting the health and safety of the library clients while sustaining access to our extensive collections, programs, and services has been at the core of Sam Jonah Library’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

During this period of changing conditions, Sam Jonah Library has repeatedly innovated, successfully operating remotely and on campus as a center for scholarly research discovery and rigorous learning in accordance with the University of Cape Coast operating plans and in response to our users’ needs. In accordance with the University’s Health protocols for COVID-19, the Library’s policies and procedures were developed in an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the library. Proposed plans were discussed with several stakeholders to develop and implement a response strategy for the library.
