Dr. Mac-Anthony Cobblah is a prominent Ghanaian Information Scientist, professional librarian, and consultant. He currently serves as the University Librarian for the University of Cape Coast (UCC), a position he has held since 2018. Before joining UCC, he was the Librarian at Methodist University College, Ghana, from 2005 to 2017. He also worked as a librarian for the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR)-Institute of Scientific and Technological Information from 1998 to 2005.
Dr. Cobblah is a recognized advocate for Open Science and Digital Scholarly Publishing in Africa. He holds several leadership positions in the library and information science community, including:
Chair of the Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries in Ghana (CARLIGH).
Chairperson of the Academic Libraries and Library Consortia Section of the African Libraries and Institutions Association (AfLIA).
Licensing Coordinator for EIFL (Electronic Information for Libraries) in Ghana.
He is also an author, researcher and has consulted for various organizations in Ghana, such as SSNIT, the Bank of Ghana, and the Community Water and Sanitation Agency (CWSA).
